As a practical nurse, you will provide safe, competent, and ethical nursing care to a diverse clientele with varying degrees and types of illnesses and/or disabilities across the lifespan. You will work collaboratively with the client and the multi-disciplinary team by holistically supporting the client’s physical, psychological, social, cognitive, cultural, and spiritual needs, and promote the optimal health and well-being of the client, family, and community.

Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- Grade 12 or equivalent with credits at or above the general level
- Grade 12 academic English, minimum of 70%
- Grade 11 and 12 academic biology, minimum of 70%
- Grade 12 academic math, minimum of 65%
- Grade 12 academic chemistry, minimum of 70%
- Current Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS) Certificate
- Standard First Aid and CPR Level C from a recognized First Aid/CPR provider (must be taken in person, NOT online)
- Completion of Immunization Verification Form (required after acceptance)
- Résumé including work and volunteer experience with applicable dates, memberships, awards, and other relevant information
